Jack Curley promoted wrestling cards at the venue in the 1920s and 1930s, featuring some of the top stars such as Ed "Strangler" Lewis, Jim Londos, Wladek Zbyszko, Dick Shikat, and Joe Stecher. After being unused almost for a decade, the building was finally demolished in 1972.

With the original building burnt in 1902, the 71st Regiment Armory was rebuilt at the same location in the corner of 34th Street and Park Avenue in 1905.
